In the Anderson Area you'll find a beautiful and vibrant community overflowing with Southern charm and hospitality. From our county seat, the City of Anderson with its lively downtown, to our quaint small towns and rural communities, the Anderson Area is full of warm and welcoming people eager to make you feel at home. Since its initial settlement in 1783 as South Carolina's last frontier, the Anderson Area has become a diverse community of neighbors working together to grow and improve and to welcome new people, ideas, technology, and business. For over 100 years, the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce has led the effort to promote our community and to spread the word of a thriving place to do business and a wonderfully comfortable and friendly place to live and grow.

In Anderson, we have it all: great schools, state-of-the-art medical care, high-tech industry, world-class higher education, college sports, excellent recreation facilities, a tremendous lake, a thriving arts community, a top notch library, historical sites, unique restaurants, caring churches, low taxes, little traffic, pastures, forests, cows and horses, gardens.
