The Chamber Fund.....
ANTICIPATING NEEDS, SUPPORTING EFFORTS,
STRENGTHENING OUR COMMUNITY The Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce, by
means of an Endowment Agreement with the Foothills Community Foundation, has
created a funding mechanism outside of the Chamber’s general operations budget
to support education, research, community, and business development
opportunities.
The purpose of the Chamber Fund is to receive and maintain a fund or funds of
real or personal property, or both, and to use the whole or any part of the
income and the principal exclusively for charitable, educational or scientific
purposes wither directly or by contributions to organizations that qualify as
exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code.
The Chamber Fund supports projects and service delivered by the Anderson Area
Chamber of Commerce in the areas of educational scholarships and programs,
beautification projects, research and technology projects, and other such
programs deemed appropriate under the guidelines of the endowment.
Distribution of Chamber Fund resources are recommended by a seven-member
Advisory Board comprised of past Chairmen of the
Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. The Chamber Board’s
Immediate Past Chairman serves as the Chairman of the Chamber Fund
Advisory Board.
The Chamber Fund is supported entirely by gifts from individuals and member
businesses and through special fundraisers. Contributions to the Chamber Fund of
any amount are welcomed and appreciated. However, donor recognition levels have
been established as follows:
Five Stars $1,500+
Platinum Star $1,000
Gold Star $ 750
Silver Star $ 500
Bronze Star $ 250
The Chamber Fund provides a vehicle for pooling contributions both large and
small to generate substantial resources for community and business development
initiatives. Contributions to the Chamber Fund are tax deductible to the extent
allowed by law. To make a donation, please click here
