 Junior Leadership Anderson
The Junior Leadership Anderson program, now in its fourteenth year, is a program
designed to encourage, equip, and empower young people for leadership roles in
the future. The participants are highly qualified but ordinary students from the
seven Anderson County high schools, all of them from different ethnic and
economic backgrounds. These participants learn about our community by touring
businesses and agencies, meeting with community leaders, and working on group
projects. They also develop lifelong friendships with students from other high
schools, and have fun designing a class t-shirt and planning a major community
service event. In addition to developing leadership skills, the program aims to
teach the values of the Anderson and South Carolina Communities.
