The Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce offers several leadership development programs aimed at providing local leaders with insights into a variety of issues impacting Anderson County and strengthening their motivation to assume responsible community leadership roles.

Leadership Anderson was founded in 1984 to inform a corps of committed and qualified individuals about our community. This is a 10-month program, which begins in September and concludes in June. Since its inception, over 500 men and women have been trained to assume positions of leadership in the community.

Discover Anderson is a countywide endeavor designed to provide newcomers and current residents the opportunity to learn about all the many facets the Anderson area has to offer, as well as offer networking opportunities that would motivate and encourage community involvement.

Leadership Alumni Association consists of all Leadership Anderson and Discover Anderson graduates. The program serves to further develop community leaders, connect graduates with local community service opportunities, and maintain relationships established through Leadership Anderson and Discover Anderson.

Junior Leadership Anderson serves to select and develop area high school Juniors who recognize and comprehend community challenges and foster leadership qualities and skills. This is a 4-month program, which begins in January and concludes in early May. High school Juniors in all Anderson County school districts are eligible to apply.
