Benefits of Chamber Membership

Chamber Advantage Discount Programs:

  • Telecommunications Discount Plan offers Chamber members a competitive discount on local and long distance telephone service, as well as internet service. This program is offered through a partnership with Deltacom.
  • Member2Member Discount Program provides Chamber members with the opportunity to offer discounts for products and services to other members, as well as allows all members to save money by taking advantage of discounts being offered. This a great way for our members to save money while supporting fellow members.
  • Certifichecks is a gift certificate program that promotes spending with fellow Chamber members. In addition to supporting our members, this program helps keep these retail dollars in our local economy.
  • Event and program discounts are offered to Chamber members, as non-members pay a higher rate to participate in our programs.
  • Certificates of Origin, which are legal documents required for exporting products abroad, are available to Chamber members at no charge.
  • Notary Public services are available to Chamber members at no charge.
  • Chamber Mailing List and Labels are available to Chamber members at a discounted rate to target your advertising and marketing with the hottest mailing list in town.
  • Recycle inkjet and toner office products conveniently and FREE of charge through our Adopt-A-Chamber with Recycle Rewards. This program provides chamber members with boxes and pre-paid shipping labels. Simply fill up your boxes and ship back to Recycle Rewards. What a great way for our members to help keep these cartridges out of our local landfills and help save our environment.

 

Educational Opportunities:

  • Educational Seminars and Forums offer opportunities to develop new business skills and knowledge.  Typically, one seminar is offered each month on a wide variety of relevant business-related topics.

  • Enhance your working knowledge regarding legislative affairs, business development issues, and quality of life issues by serving on one of our committees. 
     

Advertising and Promotional Opportunities:

  • Event and program sponsorship opportunities are always available.  Sponsorships can be purchased on an event-by-event basis or your company can purchase an annual level to become one of our Chamber Sponsorship Partners. 

  • Referral service in response to public inquiries through our website and our front desk.  Only Chamber members are referred.

  • andersonscchamber.com website offers members added promotional exposure and great advertising opportunities.  Members are posted on the website in both alphabetical and business category listings. Ad sponsorships are also available.  Other features offered to members are a locator map, search keywords, a link to their company website, and personalized business description.

  • Annual Membership Directory and Newcomer’s Guide offers Chamber members promotional exposure through three listings:  alphabetical, categorical, and representative listings for their business. In addition, advertising opportunities are available in the Business Page and Newcomer’s Guide sections. This publication is utilized as “the Chamber’s phone book” among Chamber members and our premier relocation magazine.

  • New Horizons Newsletter offers our members advertising opportunities.  Ad sizes vary from business card to a full-page.  In addition, the newsletter publishes our member’s successes in the “Business & People” section so our full membership can celebrate your accomplishments...this feature is offered free of charge.

  • As a new member, your company is listed in the New Horizons newsletter.

  • As a renewing member, your company is listed in the New Horizons newsletter under the Chamber Anniversaries section recognizing the number of years your company has been a supportive member. 

  • Ribbon Cuttings and Ground Breakings that celebrate the opening, expansion or relocation of your business are offered to Chamber members. 

  • Display your business brochures in our display booth in our main lobby.

  • New Resident Newcomer’s Package offers the opportunity to place your company literature in the hands of 3,000 potential new residents annually for a nominal fee.
     

Networking Opportunities:

  • New Member Receptions are hosted on third Thursday of each month by our Ambassador Committee.  This event provides our new members with the opportunity to meet and network with other new members, Chamber Ambassador volunteers, Chamber staff and Chamber Board members. 
  • Business After Hours is hosted on the last Thursday of each month at various Chamber venues and provides Chamber members with an opportunity to network in a relaxed, social setting.
  • Toast ‘n Topics is our breakfast forum hosted on the first Thursday of each month where current topics are addressed.  A guest speaker is always a part of this program.
  • BIZNET provides a quarterly business-to-business networking opportunity at various Chamber venues with table top exhibitor booths. 
  • Annual Meeting Luncheon celebrates the Chamber’s many volunteers and recognizes the volunteer leadership.
  • Annual Chamber Celebration provides an opportunity to celebrate the annual accomplishments of the Chamber and the community.
  • Small Business Awards Celebration is an opportunity for the Chamber to recognize and honor small businesses in our community. The Chamber awards the Small Business of the Year Award, as well as the ATHENA award, at this event.
  • Zoom Zone Showcase is offered in partnership with Clemson University to showcase Anderson County and the surrounding region as a fast-paced industrial and high-tech area to help spur continued economic development activities.   
  • Federal Contact Program is an annual trip to Washington, DC hosted by the Chamber. It is an opportunity for members to visit with Congress to discuss legislative issues impacting Upstate South Carolina.
  • Anderson Goes To Columbia program is an annual trip to our state’s capital, Columbia, to visit with our Legislative Delegation and government officials that allows members the opportunity to advocate for local business concerns.
  • Annual Golf Outings offer a relaxing and fun networking opportunity to our members.  Our men’s outing in hosted in the spring and our women’s event is held in the fall.
  • LEADS Group offers the opportunity for a group of Chamber members to meet to exchange business leads and information.
     

Leadership Development Opportunities:

  • Leadership Anderson is a ten-month program promoting and developing leadership skills to meet challenges in our community and in the workplace.
  • Discover Anderson is a four-month program to help both newcomers and longtime residents of Anderson County to better understand the needs of the community and how to become more active in community issues.
  • Leadership Alumni Association provides an avenue for graduates from our leadership development programs to stay connected with each other.  In addition, it provides information to the graduates on how to stay involved in the community and assume leadership roles when needed.
