Who is the
Anderson Clemson University Alliance?
The Anderson Clemson University Alliance is evidence
of teamwork in a community that is committed to excellence.
Created by top decision makers at Clemson University and the
Anderson business community, the Alliance brings together
Time magazine’s Public College of the Year and the
National Civic League’s All-American City.
The Alliance’s mission is to foster the
economic development potential of combining education,
industry, and research. To reach our mission, the Alliance
brings together leaders to promote knowledge growth,
strengthen the economy, and develop exciting innovations.
-
We recognize the connection.
The Anderson Clemson University Alliance understands that today’s
competitive marketplace demands the newest technologies
in materials and manufacturing. These technologies are
studied everyday in top research universities, including
Clemson University’s new $21 million Advanced Materials
Research Laboratory. The Alliance is driven to bring
these two worlds together.
-
We work together. Creating
economic growth should include everyone. The Alliance
wants to help everyone in strengthening their
organization. We welcome companies from the Upstate
region, the entire state South Carolina, and neighboring
states and communities to join our efforts. We want to
see this area of the country collaborate to create the
best business environment in the world.
-
We look to the future.
Progress will not happen without first having the vision
to succeed. The world’s economy is shifting and the
Alliance is looking ahead to make sure our businesses
have every opportunity to not only survive, but thrive.
Through events like the Zoom Zone Showcase, the Alliance
is creating these opportunities.
The Anderson Clemson University Alliance is prepared
to bring growth to the region in a variety of fields. We
see the manufacturing and materials industry as leaders in
the area’s research and development and in the economy as a
whole. We bolster industrial growth and support our
research centers so the region will zoom into the new
knowledge-based economy. |
