• Ambassador of the Month- Maria Torres-Green

    Maria Torres-Green was born and raised in New York City. She is a graduate of Trevecca University in Nashville, TN. Her family moved to South Carolina from Pennsylvania in 2012. They absolutely love living in Anderson County and look forward to raising their sons in such an awesome community.
     
    Maria currently works at Regions Bank as a Financial Services Specialist. She started her banking career over 15 years ago working in roles ranging from Assistant Manager to Regional Manager. She has won awards for Leadership, Business Development and Community Spirit. She has always been passionate about Leading in her community and helping others. Maria is an active participant in the Chamber not only as an Ambassador but also as member of the Anderson Leadership Class 34. She is a member of two Board of Directors, Foothill Alliance(Fundraising Chair) and Spearman Elementary PTO(Ways and Means Chair). Maria is also a member of the Anderson County Human Relations Council, Anderson Rotary, Anderson Women’s Club, and Catholic Women Serving. She also serves as the Financial Literacy Educator at Miracle Hill in Greenville and Monthly Guest Chef at the Ronald McDonald House.
     
    Maria’s labor of love is Ivey’s Cookies. Ivey’s Cookies conducts online bake sales for nonprofit organizations or individuals in need. The organization receives 75% of the proceeds from the bake sale. On average, she has been able to raise over $400 for causes she has spotlighted during her bake sales.
