CMS Garage & Body Celebrates Their 65th Anniversary

         
The Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon cutting for the 65th Milestone Anniversary Celebration for CMS Garage and Body Shop. The event was held on Wednesday, August 30 at 10:00 a.m. CMS Garage and body is located at 1219 South Main Street, Anderson, SC 29624. CMS Garage and Body Shop is open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
 
CMS is a full service garage and body shop that was established in April 1952 by brothers Lee and Haskel Moon. Lee Moon returned from Germany after serving for the Army at the end of WWII. Haskel Moon was a master mechanic in the military. Lee and Haskel retired in 1986, leaving Steve Moon (son of Lee Moon) as the manager of CMS Garage and Body Shop and eventually became the owner. Steve Moon is the current owner, however, retired in August 2016 leaving his sons, Travis Moon and Jason Moon as managers – third generation Moons still serving Anderson. Steve Moon started working at CMS Garage and Body Shop with his father as a teenager after graduating from TL Hanna. Steve served in the US Air Force and returned to CMS Garage and Body Shop when his assignment was complete.
