• Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers Ribbon Cutting

    Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers opened Sunday, April 8, in Anderson at 1702 Greenville St. across from QuikTrip. The opening joins a second area location at 4845 Calhoun Memorial Hwy. in Easley. A ribbon-cutting ceremony with Anderson Chamber of Commerce was held  Monday, April 9, at 10 a.m. Representatives from Development Center for Exceptional Children plan to be in attendance.
    “At Freddy’s, we genuinely value supporting the community in which we serve,” said Jason Ingermanson, franchise operator. “Through May 8, Development Center for Exceptional Children will receive 10 percent of all regular and large size frozen custard treat sales from our new restaurant. We look forward to joining Anderson and getting to know Guests in the area.”
    Developed by TGC Development Group based in Wichita, Kansas, and operated by JRI Management based in Salina, Kansas, the 2,600 square-foot, freestanding restaurant seats 86 guests and has additional seating on the patio. Drive-thru service is also available. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Freddy’s is known for its lean ground beef steakburgers, Vienna Beef hot dogs and shoestring fries, as well as signature dessert prepared with a choice of chocolate or vanilla frozen custard that is freshly churned several times throughout the day in each restaurant.
