Vaccine Information for Phase 1b

Last week Governor Henry McMaster, Acting DHEC Director Marshall Taylor, and Interim DHEC Public Health Director Dr. Brannon Traxler gave a vaccine update. A crucial point, emphasized by Governor McMaster and DHEC officials, is that businesses need to prepare for when Phase 1b of vaccine implementation begins. Businesses can prepare for Phase 1b by filling out this survey from DHEC, indicating how many of their employees may be eligible for Phase 1b and Phase 1c.
To recap, Phase 1b includes "frontline essential workers" defined by DHEC as firefighters, law enforcement officers, corrections officers, food and agricultural workers, USPS workers, manufacturing workers, grocery store workers, public transit workers, and those who work in the educational sector—teachers, support staff, and daycare workers.
