DESCRIPTION:Beach Night/Cruise-In\n\n\nFriday\, May 9th\n\n\n6 pm -10:30 pm\n\n\n\nJoin the fun on Friday\, May 9th\, and celebrate the beginning of summer at the 11th Annual Blue Ridge Fest!  Listen and dance to live music performed by musical legends Little Anthony and The Imperials\, Sammy O'Banion & Mardis Gras and The Flashbacks. Another highlight of Friday evening is the ''Upstate's Largest Cruise-In\,'' where hundreds of collector cars of every model\, color and vintage will be on display to enjoy viewing.\n\n\n\nBeach Night/Cruise-In Tickets:\n\n\nCall 1-800-240-3400 or purchase at any Blue Ridge office.\n\n\nAdults $20\, Children $10\n\n\nAdvance Tickets: Adults $15\, Children $8\n\n\nChildren 6 & under get in FREE\n\n\n\nCharity Motorcycle Ride\n\n\nSaturday\, May 10th\n\n\nRegistration Opens – 8:30 am\n\n\nFirst Bikes Out – 9:15 am\n\n\nLast Bikes Out – 11:00 am\n\n\nPrize for Best Hand - $1\,000\n\n\nRegistration - $25\n\n\n\nThe Charity Motorcycle Ride will start and end at Blue Ridge Electric's covered outdoor facility.  Riders will follow a 100-mile route through the mountains and foothills of upstate South Carolina.\n\n\n\nGiving back to the community is at the heart of Blue Ridge Fest.  Presented by Blue Ridge Electric and Blue Ridge Security\, a subsidiary of the electric cooperative\, the festival was begun 11 years ago as a means of raising funds to donate to charities located throughout the four county area served by the Cooperative.  Blue Ridge employees set-up\, sell concessions\, assist with traffic control and parking\, clean up\, and attend to all the other myriad details that make Blue Ridge Fest a success.  Sponsors and employee volunteers allow the cooperative to maximize its festival profits.  Over the past ten years\, the festival has donated $665\,000 to charitable organizations throughout the upstate area.\n\n\n\nThe following charities have been selected to receive proceeds from the 2008 fes
