DESCRIPTION:Anderson Arts Center to Host 45th Annual Juried Show\n\n \n\nThe Anderson Arts Center is gearing up for its 45th Annual Juried Show with several events happening in the next few weeks. This is one of the longest-running juried shows in the state of South Carolina.\n\n \n\nSubmissions of artwork are being accepted at the Arts Center March 19-21\, and the team expects more than 350 pieces to be entered. \n\n \n\nOn Saturday\, March 21 at 5:30 p.m.\, there is a Member's Only Preview Party for Arts Center members to get a first look at all the work entered into the show. This also gives those individuals who are offering Purchase Awards an opportunity to decide which items they want to purchase before the entire collection is revealed to the general public. \n\n \n\nSunday\, March 22\, the public is invited to m.ART.ket from 1-4 p.m. at the Anderson Arts Center. Again\, artwork entered into the Juried Show will be available for viewing and purchase. \n\n \n\nJoseph Peragine\, an artist and professor in drawing\, painting and printmaking at Georgia State University\, is the juror for the show. Of the hundreds of entries\, he will narrow down the selection to around 175 for items that make it into the Juried Show.\n\n \n\nOn Friday\, April 3\, artists and guests will be welcomed to an opening reception at 6:30 p.m. This will be the first reveal to the public of which entries were selected for the show.
