DESCRIPTION:Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Anderson #6188\, the EarlyAct FirstKnight Medieval Tournament of Games is a live-action show that includes a joust for local elementary and middle schools.  With all the pageantry and suspense of an authentic medieval joust\, five knights will compete in a contest of swordplay and jousting to see who will be declared as the Tournament Champion.  Complete with heroes and villains\, thundering warhorses\, special effects\, and a heart-pounding soundtrack\, the Tournament is a great spectacle for kids of all ages.\n\n\n \nIn addition to the action\, there will be a unique certificate ceremony for each participating school.\n\n  \n \nAbout EarlyAct FirstKnight: Unlike any program of its kind\, EAFK www.eafk.org/EAFK/EarlyAct_FirstKnight.html is a pervasive educational experience that positively influences the very culture of participating campuses. It incorporates daily 10-minute classroom lessons\, striking visuals\, school visits by heroes and horses\, elaborate school-wide knighting ceremonies\, beautiful achievement awards\, onsite Rotarian mentorship\, organized student service projects\, and parent education into an unprecedented adventure in character for children and their families.  Schools that have implemented this program have seen incredible reductions in disciplinary referral rates\, and have seen marked improvements in overall student performance.
