DESCRIPTION:Meals on Wheels Golf Tournament Welcomes Former Atlanta Braves Pitching Coach Leo Mazzone as Celebrity GolferMeals on Wheels-Anderson is pleased to announce that former Atlanta Braves pitching coach\, Leo Mazzone\, will participate in the annual Dirty Old Men's golf tournament on Friday\, May 29 as the celebrity golfer. Mazzone worked with the Atlanta Braves' organization from 1979 to 2005. Known as one of the best pitching coaches in the modern era\, Mazzone coached perennial all-star pitchers such as Tom Glavine\, John Smoltz and Greg Maddux.The golf tournament is a long-standing tradition in Anderson celebrating its 33rd year. The tournament is hosted by the Dirty Old Men's Club (DOM) to benefit Meals on Wheels and will be held Friday\, May 29 at Pine Lake Golf Course in Anderson.The tournament begins with registration at 11 a.m.\, followed by lunch at noon. A shotgun start takes place at 1 p.m.\, and tournament scoring will be Captain's Choice. A car is up for grabs for a hole-in-one and other prizes will be awarded for things like longest drive. Other activities include a silent auction and door prizes donated by various local businesses. A title sponsor of $2000 is being sought for this event. This special sponsors will receive a private meet and greet for 20 people with Mazzone the night before the tournament. Only one spot is open for a title sponsor.
