DESCRIPTION:Race for Gold 2012 will be held on Saturday\, March 3rd\, 2012 at 9:00 AM in Anderson\, South Carolina. All proceeds from this 5k race will go directly to supporting the Anderson University Center for Cancer Research. Dr. Diana Ivankovic currently serves as the Dr. James A. Henderson director alongside her co-director\, Dr. Frank A. Norris. The center offers a unique opportunity for undergraduate students to engage in various scientific research programs focused on cancer. Through collaborations with health care institutions\, students can gain first-hand scientific research experience and witness how their research positively impacts the lives of patients both in the community and abroad.\n\n \n\nAnderson University has a distinguished record of undergraduate science research. Students have participated in a diverse range of opportunities\, including work with the Oncology Research Institute of the Greenville Hospital System.
