DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, July 1\, at 10:30 a.m.\, the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for Homeland Park Fire Department to kick-off their 8th annual 4th of July celebration weekend\, which will take place at their facility at 3299 South Main Street in Anderson on Saturday\, July 2. \n\n \n\nSaturday's annual 4th of July celebration will be a day-long event\, which will begin at 10:00 a.m. The event will feature a car show at 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.\; hotdog eating contest at 12 noon\; kids fun zone at 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.\; corn-hole tournament at 2:00 p.m.\; watermelon eating contest at 6:00 p.m.\; and will conclude with a fireworks show at 9:45 p.m.\n\n  \n\nIn addition\, the Homeland Park Fire Department will be selling BBQ plates\, hamburgers\, hot dogs\, drinks\, vinegar fries\, snow cones and more throughout the day.  There will also be raffle prizes and 50/50 raffle tickets\, along with free games and prizes for the kids.\n\n  \n\nThis event is Homeland Park Fire Department's largest annual fundraiser and they welcome everyone to come out to participate.\n\n \n\nFor more information on Homeland Park Fire Department or their annual 4th of July celebration\, please call 864-296-9716.
