DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, October 25\, at 10:00 a.m.\, the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce will host a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Family Promise of Anderson County located at 204 East Highland Avenue in Anderson. An Open House will take place in the Day Center following the ceremony.  The community is welcome to attend and enjoy warm beverages and light snacks while learning about what the center means to families.\n\n\n\nFamily Promise of Anderson County works with local faith-based congregations to provide \nshelter and services to families in crisis.  The Interfaith Hospitality Network marshals \nexisting local resources to help families as they work to get back on their feet.  These \nresources include congregational spaces for overnight stays\, a day center to call home\, \ncase management services\, and most importantly\, volunteers.  It is the only program of its \nkind filling a large gap for homeless families in Anderson County.\n\n\n\nThe Day Center is open Monday-Friday\, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and extended hours for \nprogram families only.
