DESCRIPTION:On Tuesday\, May 21\, at 4:00 p.m.\, the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for Hospice of the Upstate to celebrate their Grand Re-Opening  at the Rainey Hospice House located at 1835 Rogers Road in Anderson.  Guests will be able to tour the newly renovated facility and enjoy hors d'oeuvres and music.\n\n\n\nIn 1988\, Hospice of the Upstate was the first community hospice to provide support and\ncare for patients facing the end-of-life in their home settings.  Ten years later\, the Rainey \nHospice House was the first in-patient hospice facility in the state of South Carolina to \noffer services to those facing a life-limiting illness.  Patients and families at Hospice of the\nUpstate are offered a different kind of hope – A hope to maintain dignity\, live to the \nfullest\, be free from pain and spend valuable time with loved ones wherever they call\nhome.
