DESCRIPTION:On April 30th and May 1 and 2\, the American Bass Anglers Barbeque Cook-Offs will come to Anderson for the first time ever. This Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned event is poised to be the biggest and best barbecue cook-off that the Electric City has ever seen. But the only way that is going to happen is if local and regional teams take part in the event.\n\n\n\nThe Anderson County Convention and Visitors Bureau along with the American Bass Anglers are looking for teams to compete in the Professional and Backyard team categories of the Barbeque Cook-Off\, as well as side competitions in wings\, sweet tea and even the ''Battle of the Bands.''\n\n\n\nOrganizers are also looking for participants in their side competitions including the Wings Over Anderson event on April 30 and the Y'All Magazine Sweet Tea competition on May 1.\n\n\n\nAnyone with the skills is eligible to enter the American Bass Anglers Barbeque Cook-Off\, Wings Over Anderson\, Y'All Magazine's Sweet Tea competition and the Battle of the Bands. Cost of entry is $50 for the Backyard Team\, $250 for the Professional Team\, $15 for the Wings Over Anderson and free for the Sweet Tea contest. There will also be side contests for barbecue sauce ($10 entry) and dessert ($10 entry).\n\n\n\nEntry fee for the Battle of the Bands is $125.\n\n\n\nFor more information and to apply\, visit www.ababbq.com and complete the form.
