On May 11, the Anderson County Library, in partnership with the South Carolina State Library, will offer a day of workshops focusing on different job-seeking skills. Jason Broughton, the State Library's workforce development trainer, will lead the workshops.
Introduction to email will be offered from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Job Searching on the Internet will be offered from noon to 1:30 p.m., with Job Application Practice from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., followed by Resume Preparation and Assistance from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Each session is limited to 10 participants, and registration is requested. Call the reference desk at (864) 260-4500 ext. 126 to register. It is not necessary to register for all classes or to take all classes in one day. The final day of this workshop series will be May 24. The same classes will be offered, but the times of day will rotate. All classes are held at the main library, 300 North McDuffie Street.
