Thousands of motorcycles will form a 5-mile-long chain from South Main Street to the Anderson Civic Center.
Aboard each of those motorcycles will be a toy. The toys are donated to the Department of Social Services, where they then go to children in need for Christmas. The Brighter Christmas Fund, sponsored by the Independent Mail, uses the donation to help local families in need for the holiday season.
The parade will begin at the Watson Village Shopping Center on South Main Street and travel north on Main Street and head to the Anderson Civic Center. Motorcycles will start gathering around noon on Sunday and the parade will start at 2 p.m.
People are encouraged to park along Main Street and cheer on the motorcyclists.
Those who want to know more about the parade can call Donna Cole at Stoney's Mufflers, (864) 225-7856.
Donations for the Brighter Christmas Fund may be sent to SunTrust Bank, 907 N. Main St., Anderson, S.C., 29621. Checks should be made payable to the Brighter Christmas Fund. A list of the donors will be published daily in the Anderson Independent Mail.
