Robert Anderson College and Career Academy Hosts Exhibit: Anne Frank: A History for Today
Robert Anderson College and Career Academy will host the exhibit, Anne Frank: A History for Today from April 2 through May 16, 2014. Robert Anderson College and Career Academy is one of only six schools in South Carolina to host the exhibit this year. Anne Frank: A History for Today was developed by the Anne Frank House and is sponsored in North America by The Anne Frank Center USA. The exhibit includes 32 panels that tell the story of Anne Frank and her family juxtaposed against world events before, during and after the rise to power of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi party. Through the family’s story, the exhibit explores the themes of scapegoating, bullying, anti-Semitism, racism, ethnic cleansing and genocide.
School groups are invited to tour the exhibit. There is no charge for school tours. Schools are encouraged to schedule their tours as soon as possible as tour dates will fill quickly.
Robert Anderson College and Career Academy will also host a Community Night on Thursday, April 24 at 6:30 pm. The exhibit will be open to the public and there is no charge to attend this event.
