Renowned author to visit Anderson in October. South Carolina native, Beth Webb Hart; Adelaide Piper to be Books-A-Million National " Book of the Month" for December 2006!
Beth Webb Hart will be in Anderson at OOH LA LOLLY on October 4th, from 4-6 PM. She will lecture at T.L Hanna High School, Academy on October 5th from 8:30-9:30 in the lecture hall and will address students at Anderson University at 12:45 P, at the initiation of Professor Sarah Sprague.
Beth Webb Hart, a South Carolina native, holds a B.A. in English Literature from Hollins College and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College. Her first novel, Grace at Low Tide, was one of three finalists for the 2006 Christy Awards in the general/contemporary/fiction category.
Her second novel, Adelaide Piper, has just been selected for Books-a-Million's book club and for their national book of the month for December, 2006. She lectures on a variety of topics and has taught creative writing on the college and high school level where she received two national awards from Scholastic, Inc.
Beth Webb lives with her husband, composer Edward Hart, and their daughter in Charleston, South Carolina where she serves as a writer-in-residence at Ashley Hall.
