''Gentlemen, start your equipment!'' That's what you'll hear at
the 1st Annual Big Dig to be held September 20th & 22nd, 2007
at acreage across from 395 Abner Creek Road in Greer.
Dubbed a ''Construction Theme Park'', the event will allow
children and adults a hands-on experience with construction
equipment. The Big Dig will include rides on over 30 pieces
of giant construction equipment such as a wheel loader,
bulldozers, a front loader, an excavator and more. Also
included are K-9 demonstrations, construction, military, firefighting
equipment and vehicles, and much more.
Children's Activities…enjoy face painting, making cement handprints, digging for treasures in
a ton of sand, safety demonstrations, meet Smokey the Bear and learn about fire prevention,
fingerprint identification, and much more. In addition to all of the activities, there will be
plenty of food and drinks to satisfy every appetite.
All proceeds from The Big Dig will benefit the Eastside Family YMCA and the Goodwill
Foundation. Funds will be used to expand on and develop new children's initiatives to meet the
needs of families in our community.
