The Laramie Project is the jumpstart to a new quarterly reading series that will be launched in June. This project is a step with positive dialogue on diversity related issues for the residents of Anderson County.
This play centers on the issues of hate crimes and sexual orientation, by spotlighting the lynching of Matthew Sheppard, a young boy from Laramie, Wyoming.
The concept for conducting this discussion, is to not provide a solution for the problem, but to establish a positive exchange of views or ideas on these issues.
Due to limited seating, please RSVP to the Human Relations Council office at (864) 260-1042. A synopsis or copy of the play will be available when you RSVP.
