The Pendleton District Gem and Mineral Society will hold its monthly meeting on February 16, 2010 at 7:00 at the main campus of Tri-County Technical College, 7900 Highway 76, Pendleton, SC, in Room 127.
Please join us for a presentation by Virginia Meador on the topic of ''Collecting Good Quality Minerals for Less Money'' or ''Why Collect Thumbnail-Sized Minerals?'' You will have the opportunity to see part of her collection accumulated over the past forty years. Virginia is the chairperson of the Science Department at Camperdown Academy in Greenville. She has also held several offices in the Greenville Gem and Mineral Club, and was Director of the Wildacres Workshops for the Eastern Federation for several years.
