2007 National Issues Forum (Washington, DC)
You are invited to join us for the seventh annual National Issues Forum in Washington, DC. The dates of the trip are May 1-4, 2007.

The forum will feature dynamic speakers, networking opportunities with South Carolina officials, business people and community leaders. You will have the opportunity to listen to various speakers on important issues at the Library of Congress.
The trip package includes accommodations at the Jurys Doyle Hotel Group's 4-star North American flagship located in downtown Washington D.C. on the historical Dupont Circle. Offering an excellent base for the business and leisure traveler, the hotel is within walking distance of business and cultural attractions; it is also surrounded by a host of bistros, coffee houses and restaurants. Also provided will be deluxe motor coach transportation to/from Tuesday and Wednesday’s activities, breakfast daily and, a dinner cruise reception aboard the Spirit of Washington ship along the Potomac River.
Below is a tentative itinerary which may be subject to change:
Tuesday, May 1st
- Arrive Washington, D.C.
- Check-in Hotel Doyle at Dupont Circle (afternoon)
- Board the “Spirit of Washington” 6:30 p.m.; depart Pier 4 at 6th & Water St. 7:00 for reception, dinner & networking ‘til 10 p.m.
Wednesday, May 2nd
- Breakfast at Hotel
- Leave Hotel for Library of Congress with scheduled speakers throughout the day, breaking for lunch
- Reception at the Australian Embassy
- Dinner on your own
Thursday, May 3rd
- Breakfast at Hotel
- Leave for possible tour of the White House, then to Library of Congress for speakers for the remainder of the morning and early afternoon
- Evening on your own.
Friday, May 4th
- Return to the Upstate on Your Own
The cost of the trip is $1160 single, $771 double, $641 triple and $576 quad.
A $200 non-refundable deposit per reservation is currently due with the remaining balance due by April 1, 2007.

Due to the inability to block seats on the airlines, you will be required to make your own flight arrangements to and from Washington, DC. We encourage you to book your flights as soon as possible.

Lv GSP 8:40 a.m. Arr DCA 12:19 p.m. May 1, 2007 (with 55 min. for Cincinnati connection)
Lv DCA 8:00 a.m. Arr GSP 12:41 p.m. May 4, 2007 (with 2 hr. for Atlanta connection)
