Anderson Greek Festival
Yasou!!! No need to travel to Greece.... Come be Greek for a day at the Anderson Greek Festival. Join the local Greek-American community for a day of great food, dancing, shopping and more fun then you can possibly imagine.
At the Farmer's Market, food will be served all day... lamb, chicken, gyros, souvlaki... all prepared by the best Greek cooks in our community. There will be "Maria's Kafenion" (coffee shop) serving delicious Greek Pastries (hint: come early, pastries are the first to run out) Have you ever tapped your foot to a Bouzouki?.. Here you will have a chance to listen to live Greek music all day by Nick Demos and the Greek Islanders, or can watch awe-struck the Greek Dance Troupe entertain you until you can't help but try Greek dancing yourself. Take time to visit "Yanni's Taverna" serving Greek wines, beer and mezedes (little appetizers). A Parthenon playground for the kids as well as crafts, in other words its fun learning. At the Anderson Art Center Warehouse Atrium, there will be several specialty shops and "Angie's" silent auction.
