Clemson University to participate in Remembrance Day National Roll Call
Clemson University will join more than 175 other colleges and universities around the nation in Remembrance Day National Roll Call, a nationwide, grassroots effort to honor American service men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq and Afghanistan during the past 10 years.
Clemson students, faculty, staff and other volunteers will gather at the Scroll of Honor Memorial to read aloud more than 6,300 names of men and women who have died in military service in Iraq or Afghanistan.
The event is hosted by the Clemson University Student Veterans Association with support from Army and Air Force ROTC and the Clemson Corps.
At 2:00 p.m., the reading of names will pause for a nationwide moment of silence followed by a 21-gun salute and the sounding of taps. The event is open to the public. Free parking will be in lot C-9 off of Centennial Boulevard, across the street from the east side of Littlejohn Coliseum.
