FALL HARVEST FESTIVAL
Pendleton's Tenth Annual Fall Harvest Festival will be held on the Village Green in Pendleton on Saturday, October 11th. The festival will run from 10AM to 5PM, and will feature quality crafts, entertainment, food vendors, and fine family fun. The second ever ''Bubba-Bake-Off'' will also be held, featuring local fellas showing off their most(ly) creative baking skills! If last year's entries are any indication, this is an event that would make Betty Crocker proud and that will tickle you good! Cakes will be auctioned, with proceeds going to local good works. The ''Ride for Raptors" is a recreational bicycle tour that will be celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Cyclists generally come from SC, GA and NC but have come from as far away as Indiana and Florida. Distance choices are 25, 61 or 100 miles of riding known in cyclin circles as a quarter century, metric century and century. We anticipate 250 riders. All profits go to the Carolina Raptor Center for the protection, preservation and rehabilitation of injured raptors and the education of the public about these beautiful birds. The CRC brings a display of its non-releasable birds to the festival. Bring your family and have a wonderful time; the Fall Harvest Festival has something for all!
