Family Promise of Anderson County Celebrates Unconditional Love
CELEBRATING UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
I have fabulous parents! You saw them in a photo in a previous email message about Dancing for Our Heroes. I am very blessed to have them as role models and friends. Yes, friends…as adults now we often share moments more as friends than as parent-child roles. We also change roles as one is sick or another needs a shoulder to lean on. I learned from them how to love unconditionally.
I also have amazing siblings who have raised eight children among them. They struggled and I watched. They pushed their kids to be more than they thought they could be. They called our parents for advice. In the end, they have raised some amazing men and women. I am proud to be their sister and to have been a part of watching them love unconditionally.
Whether it’s your parents, your siblings as parents or people you think are amazing parents, find a special way to love them this May and June.
On May 11 and June 15, we celebrate the role that parents have played in our lives. We honor them for taking on this responsibility and sharing it with the rest of us. Family Promise wants to offer that to the parents in our program in a meaningful way.
Join Club 300 in April, May or June and we will we designate $5 for every new membership in Club 300 for the children in our program to provide a special gift for their parents. We want you to help us share the love.
We will also send cards to up to 6 parents in your life who you want to acknowledge with a gift to Family Promise. It’s a long-term gift that keeps on giving!
