Workshop 1
Understanding the 1,4 and 5 chords: A Guide to Song Writing and Bluegrass Improvisation
Conducted by: Steel String Theory
Location: Pickens Hall Room 142
This workshop will cover the basic fundamentals of the musical alphabet.
We will discuss how to form scales, chords, and chord progressions. All levels are welcome and questions are encouraged.
Workshop 2
Banjo Playing
Conducted by: Al Osteen, banjo player for Al Osteen and Friends
Location: Pickens Hall Room 144
This workshop is designed for all levels of banjo players.
Workshop 3
Elementary Fiddle and Bluegrass Tunes
Conducted by: Pat Wells, fiddle player for Curtis Blackwell and the Dixie Bluegrass Boys
Location: Pickens Hall Room 146
This workshop will cover the basics of fiddle playing and bluegrass fiddle.
