Ribbon Cutting at Rollin' Smokes

On Friday, October 21, at 10:00 a.m., the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for Rollin' Smokes to celebrate the grand opening of their new tobacco store located at 906 Highway 28 Bypass in Anderson.

Rollin' Smokes offers commercial brand cigarettes, at the lowest prices allowable by law. In addition, they offer tobacco and feature two automated machines that can roll 199 cigarettes in only 8 minutes to serve customers who prefer to roll their own cigarettes. Their tobacco products have no chemicals or additives. They sell American tobacco and can ''brand match''. They also offer a selection of counter and premium cigars, as well as smokeless products. Smoking-related accessories are also available such as pipes, individual use hand-rolling cigarette machines, cigarette tubes, Hookahs, and shisha.

Rollin' Smokes offers a smoke-friendly environment for their clients. The store is an adult-only establishment, and no one under 18 years of age is permitted. Customers are welcomed to relax in the store while enjoying a cup of coffee, using the wireless internet connection, and perhaps playing a game of checkers or backgammon.

Rollin' Smokes designed the store after a 1930's tobacco barn, while patronizing local businesses to create this design. Most of the furnishings were purchased at Haven for Rest, Goodwill Industries, Habitat for Humanity and The Salvation Army. And many of the store fixtures came from a 100-year-old house in Belton, which was scheduled for demolition. So, the entire store is recycled. In addition, the owners are proud to be providing valuable jobs to our community, as they have hired eight employees, four of whom were recruited by Goodwill Job Connection, which is another example of their willingness to be a collaborative partner with existing businesses and local resources.
