Christmas Cookie Crawl coming to downtown Anderson
ANDERSON COUNTY, SC - There are wine crawls and bar crawls throughout the Upstate, but few crawls have families and children in mind. That changes next month. The Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the County’s first-ever Christmas Cookie Crawl. On Friday, December 3rd, just before the annual tree lighting ceremony, participating downtown businesses will open their doors to welcome shoppers and hand out Christmas cookies to visiting families.
“We are excited to welcome families into downtown Anderson and encourage them to shop our local merchants and dine in our local restaurants,” said Pam Christopher, President and CEO of the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce, “and, we expect Santa to make a stop at the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce office. So, bring your children by our office so they can tell Santa what they want for Christmas. We look forward to a Merry Christmas and this is a great way to celebrate the season!”
The crawl is set to begin on that Friday afternoon at 4 pm, and continue throughout the night. The Chamber is still collecting data for which businesses are taking part in the event and will send out the final list a week before the event. Those businesses will have a sign near their entrance to show they are taking part in the crawl.
